摘要
Warehouse location/consolidation problems at M.F.Cachat Company were solved using management science tools. Software packages which stored relevant data, were also used in conjugation with management science tools. Seven-step modeling approach based on the idea of working through each step of analysis until a solution acceptable to client was reached, was implemented to complete the project. The solution found out was to reduce the number of warehouses which lead to reduction in inventory and improvements in customer services.
