摘要
The European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group (EHEDG) is a consortium of equipment manufacturers, food industries, research institutes as well as public health authorities and was founded in 1989 with the aim to promote hygiene during the processing and packing of food products. The EHEDG has issued a new Guideline entitled 'Conveyor Systems for the Food Industry'. It will be relevant in all production environments using conveyor systems and where minimal cleaning time is required. The Guideline is prepared by the EHEDG subgroup 'Conveyor Systems'. The Guideline may be used by construction engineers in connection with the design of conveyors and with stimulating an improved design. It may also be used by purchasing officers when deciding on the specification of parts for a conveyor. The purpose of the Guideline is to recommend certain types of solutions or suppliers. However, it will point out strengths and weaknesses of different solutions. The new Guideline is scheduled to be published in late 2012.
