摘要
An influence of the Al-containing materials on properties of the ceramic molds with the low-module water glass as a binder. The minerals such as kaolin clays and pyrophyllite are tested as the components of refractory suspensions. The thermal resistant ceramic molds are manufactured, calcined up to 1000°C and filled with different steels at 1580°C. It is revealed that pyrophyllite may be used as the ceramic mold filler. In this case, the plastic deformation of ceramic materials is absent at operation temperature shifted maximum to 900°C. This provides the geometrical preciseness of molds and castings.
