New high-strength nitrogen-bearing corrosion resistant steel

摘要
An influence of alloying elements (N among them) on structure and properties of new high-strength small-magnetic steel (NS-5T) is investigated. The corrosion tests of basic metal and welded joints are carried out for different loading schedules of structures. It is revealed that the new steel and its welded joints have high mechanical and corrosion properties due to alloying by Mo, Nb, V, Ni, Mn, Si, Cr. Nitrogenized steel is resistant to pitting corrosion and corrosion cracking in marine environment.
