摘要
In this paper, the jamming theory, a new frontier in modern condensed matter physics, was briefly introduced, and its applications in the polymer system were discussed. As is well known, in a jamming system, temperature, applied stress and the packing density are the three important factors that influence the jamming and unjamming transitions. Based on the jamming phase diagram, the shear stress can induce flow of polymers chains with different interchain proximities. The development of jamming theory would provide new insights to the principles of 'millstone-type mechanicochemical reactor' created by Xu Xi et al.
