The use of trade shows such as SUR/FIN 2004 to make good purchasing decisions about finishing technology and current offerings is discussed. Trade shows provide the opportunity to see comparative product demonstrations, to engage in personal discussions, a unique opportunity to gain from other's experience, and to meet and interview staff from a firm. It is advised to search for and screen suppliers based on their knowledge, ability to communicate, and willingness to provide a course of training at the trade show. It is stated that at SUR/FIN, one would be able to find exhibitors who produce aqueous cleaning chemicals useful for removal of high-temperature waxes.
