摘要
In the paper a review of greenhouse gas emissions from the energy sector is given, i.e. their share in the entire emissions at the territory of the Republic of Croatia as well as the comparison with such emissions in other European countries. Energy sector development is analysed from the point of greenhouse gas emissions, beginning with business-as-usual scenario for Croatia. Emission decrease possibilities related to business-as-usual scenario are worked out. Analysed are measures in different sectors of energy consumption (industry, transport, households, services) and electric energy supply, whereby a certain potential of emission reduction is determined together with marginal costs of the measures observed. Finally, expected greenhouse gas emissions from the energy sector are forecast, which point to major problems in meeting the Kyoto obligations.
