摘要
In order to overcome the previous static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) model's strong constraints conditions, this paper established a new type of control model for STATCOM by using the STATCOM's impulse control angle ( and its advanced system bus voltage angle ( as the control variables. The six-order nonlinear differential algebraic system (DAS) mathematical model was set up for the single machine infinite bus (SMIB) system which includes a STATCOM and a salient-pole generator excitation model. Based on this DAS model, the coordinated controller was designed using multi-index nonlinear control (MNC) method. The simulation results show that the new coordination control method and nonlinear control law u presented in this paper can improve the power system's dynamic and steady-state performances which are more effectively than linear optimal control (LOC). © 2014 Chin.
