摘要
Chemical looping is a novel clean carbonaceous conversion technology. Chemical looping technology with coal, petroleum coke and biomass as solid feedstock is now at its early development stage. Oxygen carrier, reactor and processing demonstration are the three most important research topics. Chemical looping oxygen uncoupling (CLOU) materials with dual active components release gaseous oxygen at reaction temperature, increasing the rate of solid fuels, and thus is the direction of the promising oxygen carrier development. Fuel reactor is the key component for the design of a chemical looping system. Fluidized bed has the advantages of high reactivity and the ease to scale up, while moving bed is desirable given the high fuel conversion rate and gas purity. Further achievements are expected on both fluidized bed and moving bed, and they will exist as the two dominating modes for the fuel reactor operation. Catalytic gasification is likely to accelerate the development of solid-fueled chemical looping. Chemical partial oxidation technology also emerges as a novel gasification method with broad application. ©, 2015, Science Press. All right reserved.
