Basic principles and technology of denitration through the reburning of natural gas

With respect to the mechanism of denitration by way of natural gas reburning a comprehensive assessment is conducted of the influence of some key parameters of this denitration technology on the denitration efficiency. Several kinds of fuel for reburning were compared in terms of their effect on the denitation efficiency. It has been found, that to achieve a relatively high denitration effectiveness, proper values should be selected as regards the following: reburning zone temperature, excess air factor and residence time in the reburning zone, as well as an appropriate location of the spray of fuel reburned. It is beneficial to acid a proper amount of HCN, HN3 or pyrolysis gas to the natural gas. Due to the interaction of the above parameters an optimization effort is in order, depending on specific conditions.
