The article is devoted to the history of foundation of the Laboratory of Theoretical Principles of Recovery and Protection against Radiation in the Institute of Biophysics. The main results of the activity of the Laboratory in the field of molecular radiobiology are presented. The enumeration of investigations in the fields of cell radiobiology and organism radiobiology is given.
