摘要
In the past Lignits from the Kalawsk, deposit have received the attention of geologists and technologists because of the large quantity of bitumens which can be extracted and processed as montan waxes. The paper presents a petrographical characterization of the seam. It also compares the petrographical and chemical data for the bitumen-rich coals of Kalawsk with the data obtained for some selected german lignit seams. Making use of petrographical, chemical and palynological data, the genesis, age and possibilities of industrial utilization of coals from Kalawsk were determined.
