Alemania es la mayor economía en Europa, y la cuarta más grande en el mundo en Producto Per Cápita (PPC), siendo el tercer país con mayores exportaciones en el mundo. Con una población cercana a los 83 millones de habitantes y un área de 357.021 kilómetros cuadrados (séptima en Europa), Alemania es considerada como el líder mundial en fabricación de maquinaria, y esto incluye maquinaria para la industria textil y de la confección.
