Simultaneous voltammetry detection of guanine and adenine in human serum with a CQDs / AuNPs @ MWCNTs modified glassy carbon electrode

A modified glass carbon electrode (GCE) based on carbon quantum dots (CQDs) and gold nanoparticles (AuNPs)@ hydroxylated multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNT-OHs) composite was fabricated and then employed to the selective and simultaneous determination of guanine and adenine. Compared with the other electrodes, the as prepared CQDs/AuNPs@ MWCNTs-OH modified electrode gave the highest peaks current and best peaks potential resolution. The electrochemical behaviors of guanine and adenine on the electrode were carefully investigated, and the results showed that, under the optimal condition, the oxidation peak currents concentrations of the analytes were linear with their concentrations in the range of 1-200 μmol/L and 2. 0-80 μmol/L, with the detection limits of 0. 9 and 1. 8 μmol/L for guanine and adenine, respectively. The modified electrode was used to simultaneous electrochemical analysis of GA and AE in human serum samples. The recoveries were between 90. 4%-107. 4%, which proved that the modified electrode was effective in biological samples. © 2021, Youke Publishing Co.,Ltd. All rights reserved.
