摘要
Since free-piston thermal engines not bound by the motion of the rotating engine crankshaft as in existing engines, they are being examined as an option to conservative technologies by several scientific organisations around the world. In applications such as electrical energy production and hydrodynamic power production, free-piston engines are employed as an alternative to traditional techniques. Increased compression ratios allow improved cycle efficiency and raise in-cylinder temperatures, raising mechanical stress, pressures, and heat transfer inefficiencies, and these successfully calculate the optimum compression ratio. This research offers different in-cylinder flows that are computed using computational fluid dynamics for compression ratios ranging from 7 to 15, and estimates were performed to discover the ideal compression ratio for the finest engine firm profitability and characteristics. © 2022 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.
