摘要
The study presents an analysis of thermal diffusion and diffusion thermoeffects on the heat and mass transfer by natural convection of saturated non-Newtonian Sutterby fluid past a stretching surface with constant temperature and concentration. An appropriate transformation converts the flow equations into coupled differential equations. Spectral relaxation method (SRM) is used to solve the obtained system of equations. The influences of various flow parameters on the velocity, temperature and concentration are studied and illustrated through graphs. Enhancement in Dufour number resulted in the increase of temperature and decrease of concentration. Concentration profiles were raised for increasing Soret numbers. It is also noted that pseudoplastic fluids behave opposite to that of dilatant fluids. © 2022 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.
