This work investigates the characteristics of turbulent diffusion flame under different slope and heat release rate conditions. The experimental results show that the flame attachment length increases with increasing slope angle in the range of 10◦∼15◦, which is induced by the pressure difference due to air entrainment on both sides of the flame. There is a linear correlation between flame attachment length and horizontal flame length. The range of flame attachment can be characterized by flame length and flame tilt angle. For slope angles of 0◦ and 40◦, the correlation between flame length and heat release rate fits the power law. Compared with the slope of 0◦, the flame length increases slowly with the heat release rate for the slope of 40◦. © 2021, Science Press. All right reserved.
