摘要
Based on Monte Carlo Simulations (MCS) under the Metropolis algorithm, we have investigated the magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of a 2D square lattice Ising core-shell system, after discussing the exact ground state phase diagrams linked to interfacial exchange, applied magnetic field and anisotropy parameters. The obtained diagrams have exhibited various topologies depending on the model parameters. Therefore, the main quantities we have calculated are total and partial temperature-dependent magnetizations and magnetic susceptibility, as well as thermodynamic properties namely magnetic heat capacity and magnetic entropy which allowed us to evaluate the changes of entropy during magnetization and demagnetization of the system in order to measure the magnetocaloric effect (MCE). The obtained results show two types of magnetization curves which vary slightly with interfacial exchange parameter, as well as wide range of temperature where entropy change values are maximum, which is an interesting phenomenon for MCE.
