摘要
The monitoring of the conservation state of metallic artefacts is of great importance in the world of cultural heritage in particular to develop tailored methodologies and best practices for the preventive conservation of works of art. This work presents the monitoring campaign of a bronze sculpture belonging to the Gori Art Collection, a private collection of a large number of modern works of art, created within an environmental art program. In particular, the study was carried out using non-invasive techniques, performed in situ, which allowed to attest the presence of corrosive phenomena and the characterization of corrosion patinas. The techniques employed are electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), Raman spectroscopy and photogrammetry. Through a multi-analytical approach it was possible to assess the overall conservation state of the artefact and the protective effectiveness of the patinas. © 2020 Associazione Italiana di Metallurgia.
