摘要
With soda-anthraquinone (soda-AQ) pulping at higher temperature (more than 174°C), jute bast fiber can be converted to bleached pulp with cellulose content more than 90%. Bast fiber have higher cellulose content and lower xylan or lignin content than woody core. Increasing pulping temperature led to more degradation of xylan than cellulose, which improve the cellulose purity. Soda-AQ pulp from jute bast fiber with good bleach-ability could reach 80% ISO brightness with 1.5% chlorine dioxide charge. Therefore, bleached soda-AQ pulp from jute bast fiber with higher temperature pulping could be used for raw material for viscous rayon without hemicellulose removal process. © 2019 Korean Technical Assoc. of the Pulp and Paper Industry.
