摘要
Digital transformation offers great potential in the electroplating technology. Especially the use of data to imprvve the electrolyte control, to enable the introduction ofpredictive maintenance approaches or to increase the quality is an excitingfleld ofapplication. The article provides an overview of opportunities and obstacles concerning the introduction ofindustry 4.0, explains frequently used terms and introduces the topic ofdata acquisition, data analysis and Simulation. Finally, practical examples from projects of the Fraunhofer IPA, the IFF of the University ofStuttgart and the IWF of the TU Braunschweig will be used to present the first SME-suitable Solutions for digital transformation in the electroplating industry. © 2020 Eugen G.
