摘要
This paper presents the results of a time-and-motion study of the production process in a shoe manufacturing company. An Ishikawa diagram and the 6M method were used to determine the cause of the company's low productivity. Tasks were then standardized using an operations process diagram and right/left hand charts. Finally, the production times were determined using a stopwatch. With the use of these tools, it was determined that the work was not evenly distributed among the work areas. To solve this, tasks were reassigned to balance the workload. Finally, the results were captured on a check sheet. The study verified that the use of production management techniques increases productivity and efficiency and in the production processes. This study shows that there was a production increase of 5.49%. © 2019 Centro de Informacion Tecnologica. All rights reserved.
