摘要
Approach for the development of a digitalization roadmap for the supply chain management. The trend towards the reduction of the vertical range of manufacturing and the focus on core competencies increases the need for long-term strategic partners and optimized supplier and customer networks. The digitalization of purchasing and sales can shape the interfaces to external partners more efficient and reliable. With regard to the resulting cross-company requirements, complex interactions between different technologies, such as interactive platforms or sales forecasts using machine learning, as well as the involvement of employees in the transformation process, a structured approach is essential. A so-called roadmap helps decision-makers to prioritize and schedule projects for the implementation. This article presents a procedure for creating a digitalization roadmap for the industrial supply chain and shows an exemplarily roadmap from operational practice. © 2020 Carl Hanser Verlag.
