Influence of Coupling Motion of Dynamic Positioning Pipe Laying Vessel on Dynamic Response of Pipeline

摘要
A coupling model of S-laying vessel-stinger-pipeline is designed. Model tests of dynamic positioning in the operation of the installation for HYSY201 pipe laying in waves are carried out. Coupling motions of the vessel are measured, and dynamic response of the pipeline is simulated using the Orcaflex code based on the measured data, as well as their characteristic features are analyzed. Effect of each motion on the stress of the pipeline is discussed. Results show that pitch motions have the most effective influence on the stress of the pipeline, while heave and surge motions have less influence. Coupling effects of the vessel-stinger-pipeline should be considered to analyze the maximal pipeline stress induced by wave-component, heave and pitch motions, and low-frequency-component surge. © 2021, Editorial Office of Ship Building of China.
