Bandgap and PL Spectra of Bismuth Ferrite-Nickel Ferrite Nanocomposites Synthesized by Wet Chemistry

Abstract: Perovskite bismuth ferrite and spinel nickel ferrite of the bismuth ferrite-nickel ferrite nanocomposite was synthesized using nitrate salts, glycerol and citric acid. Thermal analyses of mixed precursors were carried out to determine crystallization followed by annealing and phase analysis by XRD to determine the crystal structure of the sample. Optical properties of the synthesized samples were determined by UV-VIS spectra and PL spectra analyses. The bandgap was measured by a Tauc plot, while luminescence properties were measured using PL spectra analyses. © 2020, Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden GmbH.
