摘要
The consequences of the deterioration of natural resources that affect human life have justified the need for the environment to become an object of research, which is why Popular Environmental Education has been taken as one of the main ways to provoke actions of change, since it contributes to the formative process of the human being in all his spheres of action and in the integral development of his personality. As a dynamic and participatory process, it seeks to awaken in the population an awareness that allows them to identify with environmental problems, live with the environment, preserve it, and transform it according to their needs, without thereby compromising the possibilities of future generations and does not involve endangering the environment. Identified as a need in the educational and social sector of the town of Pinar del R & iacute;o, the objective of this research is to develop environmental education at the University of Pinar del R & iacute;o "Hermanos Sa & iacute;z Montes de Oca". Taking into account the community approach to research, the activities have been planned respecting the different forms that community work takes, in its methodological principles, conceived from Participatory Action Research. This project aims to create a community management group (student scientific group of the Pedagogy-Psychology degree) and the empowerment of their collective capabilities.
