Modelling and Simulation of Interval Type-2 Fuzzy PID Controllers using Mamdani Minimum Inference

摘要
This paper presents two different mathematical models (also called analytical structures) of the simplest Mamdani type Interval Type-2 (IT2) Fuzzy Proportional Integral Derivative (FPID) controller by considering Average and Nie-Tan (NT) defuzzification methods. IT2 Fuzzy Sets (FSs) with triangular Membership Functions (MFs) on both input and output variables, Mamdani Minimum (MM) inference, and One-Dimensional (1D) input space are used to obtain the analytical structures of the controller. The models of the proposed controller are thoroughly analysed for their properties. Validity and applicability of the proposed controller models are demonstrated through simulation study.
