摘要
The potentiality of DC microgrid to incorporate renewable energy sources and improve power distribution efficiency has garnered considerable interest, especially in light of the ever-increasing demand for efficient and clean energy systems. Multilevel inverters (MLIs) play a crucial role in interfacing these grid-tied microgrids with various loads and energy sources. To improve the efficiency and dependability of such systems, this paper presents a three-phase MLI interfacing solar photovoltaic (PV)-battery-based grid-tied system. The system comprises of MLI with features such as (a) neutral point clamped input, (b) reduced number of switches to produce 7-level output per phase, (c) self-balanced capacitors, and (d) inherent voltage boosting ability. A novel power management control algorithm is designed to enhance the dynamic response and efficiency of the developed system. The effectiveness of the proposed system and its workability is validated through extensive experiments demonstrating enhanced power quality and efficient energy utilization.
