摘要
The increasing demand for higher transmission capacity over the existing optical fiber infrastructures raises the interest in using more efficient optical modulation formats supported by new challenging component technologies. This paper describes the current status of integrated photoreceivers, thus highlighting the relationship between sophisticated optical transmission requirements and feasible technology achievements.
