摘要：
The 2018 European Society of Cardiology (ESC)/Hypertension (ESH) guidelines recommend lifestyle changes with reduction in dietary calories, sodium and alcohol intake, adequate potassium integration and physical activity to reduce blood pressure levels, with the aim of reducing body weight and waist circumference in overweight/obese patients. Dietary sodium recommendations are subject to variability due to the highly variable response of blood pressure (BP) to sodium intake. In addition, the effect of dietary sodium on BP in individuals taking antihypertensive medications is insufficiently studied.
