摘要
The "Analysis of Abandonment of Physical Activity during Adolescence" is a research work focused on understanding the possible reasons why adolescents abandon the practice of physical activity and, in turn, concerns whether these subjects have resumed today. Based on observations regarding other studies, concern about the growing abandonment among young people is highlighted. To address this problem, an anonymous survey was carried out on 116 individuals between 18 and 26 years old, collecting data on their physical activity habits during childhood and adolescence, as well as the reasons for dropping out. The results of the study show that 58 % of those surveyed abandoned physical activity in adolescence, with a higher percentage belonging to women (75 %) compared to men (35 %). The main reasons identified for this dropout include lack of time, academic pressure and lack of motivation. However, it is encouraging to note that 58% of those who abandoned physical activity resumed it in adulthood, mainly through exercise in gyms. The practical implications of the study suggest the need to develop intervention programs that integrate attractive and motivating physical activity sessions, train teachers to promote inclusion and gender equality, and promote activities that improve the perception of competence and motivation among students. students.
