摘要
In this paper, two kinds of yokeless and segmented armature (YASA) motors are designed and compared. Firstly, a traditional surface-mounted YASA motor is designed in which a combined rotor disk is adopted. In order to reduce the eddy-current loss in the rotor and improve the performance of YASA motor, a tangential PM rotor structure is introduced. Then, the performances and eddy-current loss of YASA motors with two kinds of rotors are analyzed and compared. Finally, the prototype motors are manufactured for experimental research.
