摘要
The green development agenda is presently greatly reliant on technologies that are able to drive the current practices of sustainability. Arising among them, the Internet of Things (IoT) emerges as a revolutionary factor, offering improved efficiencies, diminished environment impact, and valuable operational advantages. In this work, the integration of the IoT technologies in the management of energy is thoroughly examined so that the role the IoT technologies could play in the development of energy infrastructure, which is more sustainable and effective, could be discovered. The research looks into the energy efficiency management practices currently in place, and the fact that internet of things can make them even more efficient oriented towards a high level of sustainability. The research does a set of presentations that expose the relevance of the machine to machine communication in terms of energy consumption and reduce cost and CO2 emissions. Besides that, it explores how the IoT can connect renewable power sources that are popular thereby supporting the new energy mix. The outcome confirms the pivotal role Iot in obtaining significant progress in the direction of energy sustainability. Smarter energy utilization and renewable energy are both possible through the use of IoT technologies which indicate their ability to transform the power sector mainly. The study emphasizes the significance of further innovation and infusion of fund to accelerate the process of the utilization of IoT in taking a lead in sustaining and energy efficiency.
