摘要
The open all-photonic network is a next-generation communication technology that provides high speed, high capacity, and low latency optical transmission. However, the lack of scalable wavelength-switching technology limits network flexibility and reliability. To address this issue, we propose a novel approach to implementing a wavelength-switching mechanism in open all-photonic networks. Our method allows for dynamic allocation of wavelengths to network connections, facilitating efficient resource utilization and enhancing network design flexibility. To validate our approach, we conducted Proof of Concept experiments in Chunghwa Telecom, under existing optical transport networks involving multiple vendors. The experiments demonstrated the feasibility and effectiveness of our method for optimizing high-speed, low-latency connectivity in open all-photonic networks.
