摘要
Amid global concerns over water scarcity and escalating environmental pollution, there has been a surge in research and innovation for pioneering wastewater purification technologies. Advanced micro and nanomanufacturing methods emerge as promising avenues to enhance conventional treatment efficiency. This review guides readers through recent advancements, merging precision engineering at micro/nanoscales with water treatment intricacies, yielding transformative solutions. Exploring lithography-based techniques, additive manufacturing, self-assembly, and microfluidics, it uncovers diverse approaches crafting materials to interact with and neutralize pollutants. The manuscript navigates the fusion of micro/nanomanufacturing with the urgent global need for clean water. By showcasing empowered materials surpassing traditional treatment, it tackles expanding pollutant challenges. Beyond compiling breakthroughs, this review seeks to inspire future research by illuminating how precision manufacturing can address water treatment, holding the potential to combat scarcity and pollution, and safeguard ecosystems for generations.
