Research on LGBTQIA+ topics in sport and physical education have painted a dim view of inclusivity for the field. Research with LGBT physical educators has illustrated many challenges, discriminatory behaviours as well as complexities of being queer in schools. To date, there is little research on the experiences of transgender and intersex physical educators. Using a queer phenomenological lens, the authors explored the affective experiences and professional changes of a transgender and intersex physical educator in Colombia. Using an intrinsic case study, the authors considered how Andrea (pseudonym) was affected by, and produced affect in, traditional physical education practices. To conclude, the authors discuss how Andrea's experiences can inform future research in LGBTQIA+ topics in sport and physical education.
