摘要
In this paper, the development of a gas-sensing setup for a microwave-based electronic nose (e-nose) system is presented. The system is designed to analyze the gas-sensing responses of the microwave-based gas sensors with the utilization of a 1:n microwave switch (herein 1:6), an eight-port reflectometer, and an integrated heater that enables heating the structure to 250 degrees C. The setup was designed as a portable system that can be used for dynamic testing, for example in industrial applications. Thanks to the possibility of integrating six sensors with various gas-sensing layers the enhanced selectivity of the e-nose system can be achieved.
