摘要
This study aims to examine the influence between innovative education driven by design thinking and student engagement, emphasizing the crucial role of training model of innovative talents and the impact of the background of blockchain technology. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 325 students from higher education institutions in Hunan, China. Insights were obtained through structural equation modelling analysis. The research results indicate that innovative education driven by design thinking positively influences the development of creative skills and student engagement. In this process, the mediating role of the training model of innovative talents did not receive empirical support. However, there was empirical support for the negative moderating effect of the background of blockchain technology in this context, filling a gap in the current research. These findings underscore the value of incorporating design thinking into educational programs aimed at promoting innovation to enhance student engagement. The study includes limitations and provides recommendations for future research.
