摘要
Massive exhaust emissions containing low-concentration volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are widespread in the pharmaceutical, petroleum, and chemical industries, posing a significant hazard to the environment and human health. Among various VOCs removal technologies, adsorption technology has been widely applied due to its high purification efficiency and low operating cost. Zeolites with good thermal stability and adjustable pore structure advantages, have been driven as a promising adsorbent to achieve efficient adsorption and purification of VOCs. This review briefed on the fundamentals of VOCs adsorption technology, and provides a comprehensive analysis of the adsorbent reactions on zeolites from the perspective of thermodynamics and kinetics. Besides, rational design strategies for VOCs adsorbents applied to water-containing conditions are comprehensively discussed in terms of adsorption performance modification and water resistance modulation. The current status of the study and potential areas for further innovation are presented. Hopefully, this review can bridge the gap between developed zeolites and VOCs contained exhaust purification to realize engineering.
