摘要
An innovative teaching proposal is presented linked to the acquisition of curricular content, skills, attitudes and values by providing a service to the elderly in a rural area. The aim of this study is to analyse the impact of the service-learning project on first-year university students through their reflections, verifying the repercussion on their academic results. The project "Relationship and occupation for well-being" selected by the University of Burgos for the 2020-2021 academic year is presented. This project is carried out with 32 elderly people from the rural area in which 70 students participate. The final project is prepared and designed with the students, applied and evaluated through a field diary and individual reflection following a rubric developed with the students. The average score obtained in the reflection is 2.5 out of the total of 3 points. 87.14% passed the contents of the subject worked on with this methodology. This experience has made it possible to build the desired curricular knowledge, to apply procedures that are difficult to understand in theory and to recognise valuable attitudes for the Occupational Therapy career. The aim is to offer learning opportunities that improve the quality of teaching.
