Influence of temperature on sandwich panels with PU rigid foam

摘要
Sandwich panels are subject to a variety of different temperature loads. The continuously fabricated PU core changes its material properties in the temperature range relevant to construction practice. Research results show that, for example, the stiffness of the core material changes by more than 40 % under elevated temperatures. It is striking that the material behavior under temperature conditions of the currently predominantly used PIR is in some cases contrary to that of the previously mainly used PUR. This has not yet been considered in the currently valid verification formats for sandwich panels.
