摘要
Colchicine is an inexpensive anti-inflammatory drug used for treating gout and pericarditis. Two large randomized controlled trials (RCTs) showed that colchicine prevents adverse cardiovascular outcomes such as myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular death in patients with coronary artery disease.1,2 Some trials have suggested that there might be a greater risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) systematic review and meta-analysis of RCTs to determine the effect of colchicine on the risk of VTE.
