摘要
Facilities management (FM) holds significant importance across diverse industries, with a notable impact on operations, particularly within the airport industry. This study delves into the theoretical foundations of FM specifically in airports, aiming to achieve a thorough understanding. The key objective is to explore and comprehend these theoretical underpinnings through an in-depth bibliometric analysis. As airports increasingly embrace digital technologies, the integration of these theoretical frameworks becomes crucial for effective FM practices. Our approach involved an extensive literature search, gathering relevant publications and essential bibliographic details, encompassing aspects such as country, research area, sources, and author information. Leveraging VOS Viewer, we visualized co -authorship networks and the co -occurrence of author keywords. This research offers a distinctive perspective, providing a holistic overview of global initiatives related to FM's theoretical foundations in the airport sector. The insights derived from this bibliometric analysis contribute valuable directions for researchers, policymakers, and airport FM practitioners engaging in collaborative opportunities within this dynamically evolving field .
