Design and Research on the New Urban Bus Network Model of "Single Bus Line Operation of Trunk Road"

摘要
To solve the problem of layout and station location for traditional bus networks, a new bus network model of "single bus line operation of trunk road" using grid road network as carrier, is proposed. One straight bus line is arranged on every trunk road. Instead of original stations, new stations are set up at entrances and exits of intersections. Non-linear coefficient of bus lines, density of bus networks, repetitive coefficient of bus networks, and delay and queue are selected as evaluation indexes. Taking bus networks of a city in Henan province as example, experimental verification is carried out with evaluation indexes and VISSIM simulation. Results show that compared with traditional bus network, the repetitive coefficient of new model decreases by 51.41%, non-linear coefficient decreases by 29.85%, and average queue length of stations decrease by 58.80%. New model eliminates bus queue, shortens transfer distance, and solves the problem of inconvenient transfer.
