摘要
(Abstracted from Am J Obstet Gynecol 2023;229:545.e1-545.e11 Severe maternal morbidity (SMM) is a composite outcome that encompasses life-threatening maternal complications and eclampsia around the time of delivery and up to 42 days after birth. It is associated with a higher incidence of cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality long-term, beyond the postpartum period, as well as prolonged hospitalization.
