On the deformation of porous spherical shells and other spherical bodies

摘要
In this paper we consider the linear theory of porous materials introduced by Nunziato and Cowin. In this model the interstitial pores are empty. The deformation is measured by four kinematic variables. We study the elastic deformation of porous spherical bodies under the action of radial pressure. As application, we study the case of a spherical shell and that of a sphere with a rigid nucleus.
