INTRINSIC MOTIVATION STRATEGY TO ENHANCE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

摘要
The purpose of the research was to determine the influence of the application of the intrinsic motivation strategy (IMS) on the emotional intelligence of students beginning their university studies. To measure the level of emotional intelligence, the Emotional Intelligence Inventory (BarOnI-CE) was used. The IMS strategy is based on humanistic psychology, psychoanalysis, emotional intelligence, neurosciences, neurolinguistic programming, and positive psychology; Its execution phases were: real situation, purpose, initial motivation, self -motivation and evaluation and feedback. A pre -experimental pretest -posttest design with a single group was used. To determine the level of significance, the T -Student statistical test was used. It was concluded that the intrinsic motivation strategy improves emotional intelligence in university students.
