摘要
A 3D printing shorted microstrip antenna with high gain in the millimeter-wave (mmWave) band is come up with in this article. The proposed mmWave microstrip antenna is made up of a shorted rectangular metal radiator, ground plane and a substrate integrated coaxial-line (SICL) feeding network. Therefore, the dielectric loss is reduced compared to printed circuit board technics. In addition, the radiating patch is excited through a rectangular coupling slot perforating the metal ground plane. Besides, both the coupling slot and the shorted rectangular patch contribute to the low cross polarization. As indicated by simulation results, the antenna operating band spans from 36 to 40 GHz, achieving a peak gain of 10.1 dBi and a cross-polarization level of below -20 dB.
