Digital Twins offer the possibility to simulate the behaviour of physical assets - be it ships, cars or industrial plants - to monitor them during operation and to continuously improve them by feedback of operational data. The data and models from development form the context in which the operational data can be correctly interpreted. Their Twin-compatible preparation and provision is therefore an essential prerequisite for the use of Digital Twin applications. © Carl Hanser Verlag GmbH & Co. KG
