:
At each stage in the completion of large-scale skid equipment mounted on a offshore oil platform from detailed design to construction and installation, weight of the whole skid should be calculated and controlled, which affects not only the safety of lifting each sled block, but also the control of overall weight center of gravity of the offshore platform block. In this paper, a method for using software AVEVA PDMS and its custom component library is applied to calculate the center of gravity of a large skid mounted equipment, which provides technical support for related work. © 2019, Editorial Office of Ship Building of China.
